Number plates can be much easier to make out on cars driving in the same direction as you and also in parking mode as cars are driving very slow in car parks. This is where you see the most motion blur.
It is particularly difficult to pick up a number plate on faster moving vehicles approaching you from the opposite direction. A 4K Dash Cam that shuts down all the time or records inconsistently is no good to anyone. Just because a Dash Cam has high resolution, doesn’t mean its great.
